Yes, laser hair removal offers long-term hair reduction. The treatment targets and disables the hair follicles in their active growth phase (anagen phase) preventing future hair growth. Because not all hairs are in the active growth phase at the same time, a series of 6 to 8 sessions is typically required to achieve up to 90% permanent hair reduction.
We use state-of-the-art diode laser technology equipped with a continuous sapphire cooling tip (designed for maximum comfort). You might feel a slight warming sensation or a mild tingling, but the treatment is virtually painless compared to traditional waxing, epilating, or older laser systems.
To prepare for your session: 1) Shave the target area cleanly 12 to 24 hours before your appointment. Do not use wax, epilators, or tweezers for at least 4 weeks prior. 2) Avoid active sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanning creams for at least 3 days before your treatment. 3) Arrive with clean skin, free of lotions, deodorants, or makeup in the treatment zone.
Our clinical diode laser system is safe and highly effective for all skin types (Fitzpatrick scale I-VI), including tanned skin. However, since the laser targets the melanin pigment inside the hair follicle, it is not effective on very light blond, grey, or red hair, which lacks sufficient pigment.
For facial zones, treatments are scheduled every 4 to 6 weeks. For body areas, sessions are spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart. This spacing matches the natural growth cycles of your hair follicles to ensure we target them effectively.
